Make a slideshow - it's easy!

We went to visit our alma mater for Picnic Day this weekend. It was the first time either of us had been back since we graduated. We had a blast. Anna has now officially milked her first cow, and held her first lab rat. The lab rat “display” was geared toward teaching kids that lab animals are useful, helpful etc. Sort of the “anti-PETA” I think. What was funny was that the website they choose was kids4research.com – so it made it sound a little like they were proposing research ON kids instead of lab rats. Or maybe that's just how MY warped sense of humor took it... Make a photobook - it's easy!

So, Anna asked me the other day, "Why are there bad words?" Not why are some words bad - I might have fielded that one. But why ARE THERE bad words. Hmmm...stumped by a 5 year old. I'm not embarrassed to say it's not the first time...nor will it be the last.

Of course, when I relayed the conversation to Curtis, he had several good answers. Not helpful NOW...but in case it ever comes up again. One was this clip that circulated awhile back about proper grammar when cursing. Very educational. (And totally not safe for work - unless you have a potty-mouth-approved office. You have been warned. Enjoy.)

Here's a blast from the past...I think I made this for Anna's first birthday party...or maybe her 2nd? I don't know...it hit pretty close to home at the time. Still does. Right up there with 'Dead Puppies' now. Enjoy...
